Over the period of seven months from August 2010 to February 2011, CISDOMA was contracted by the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives for carrying out the project “Enhancing capacity of the Women’s Union of Quang Binh district in effectively determining and implementing poverty reduction programs.”

With funding of 16,382 US$, the project aimed at (1) enhancing the capacity of the Women’s Union of Quang Binh district (Ha Giang province) in designing and managing sustainable poverty reduction programs, (2) creating more job opportunities and improving income for local women via development of Tan Bac Brocade Cooperative, and (3) preserving the art of hand-weaving in order to preserve and develop the culture of Pa Then people.
