- Implementation Period: October 2021 to August 2025
- Project Implementation Areas: Two communes in Kim Boi District, Hoa Binh Province, and Tram Tau District, Yen Bai Province.
- Project Purpose: Ecological agriculture contributes to building and maintaining sustainable landscapes and environmentally friendly livelihoods for impoverished ethnic minority communities in the area, aiming to reduce poverty in Northwest Vietnam.
- Objectives:
- Ecological agricultural landscapes were restored by Muong men and women in the two communes implementing the project.
- The project’s lessons learned on establishing ecological agricultural landscapes will be considered for integration into national/provincial policies and implemented by various levels of government.
Total project funding in Hoa Binh province is 394,400 Euros, equivalent to 10,058,651,300 Vietnamese Dong (ten billion, fifty-eight million, six hundred fifty-one thousand, three hundred dong), broken down as follows:
- BFTW and ICRAF sponsor 75% of the project budget, equivalent to 7,543,988,475 Vietnamese Dong (seven billion, five hundred forty-three million, nine hundred eighty-eight thousand, and four hundred seventy-five dong).
- CISDOMA and local counterparts (Department of Agriculture, District People’s Committee) provide 25% of the project budget, equivalent to 2,514,662,825 Vietnamese Dong (two billion, five hundred fourteen million, six hundred sixty-two thousand, and eight hundred twenty-five dong)
