CISDOMA RECEIVES COMMENDATION FROM THE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ASSOCIATION

On January 11, 2023, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Scientific Research Association on Southeast Asia (SEARAV) held its 4th National Congress for the 2023–2028 term. At this congress, the Institute for Socio-Economic Development Consultancy for Rural and Mountainous Areas was honoured to receive a commendation from the Central Association for its achievements in social development activities, community support, and policy contributions.

The Congress was attended by 150 representatives from various ministries, social organizations, and member units affiliated with the Association. The Congress reviewed the summary report of the third term (2017-2022), agreed on the direction for the fourth term (2023-2028), and elected the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Inspection Committee, and the Association’s leadership board.

CISDOMA is a member of the Central Association’s Standing Committee for the 2023-2028 term

Consultative Institute for Socio-Economic Development of Rural and Mountainous Areas (CISDOMA) is among the units honoured to receive a commendation from the Central Association for its achievements in social development activities, community support, and policy contributions. During the 2017–2022 period, CISDOMA implemented 16 development projects across 12 provinces, supporting approximately 25,000 people in rural areas and ethnic minority communities, as well as over 3,000 university students. Additionally, CISDOMA carried out 12 research and technical support service packages for development projects, which included surveys, reviews, project evaluations, and the development of strategic programmes for organisations and networks. They published 10 sets of materials and numerous survey and evaluation reports. Furthermore, CISDOMA actively contributed to policy discussions on the 2017 Forestry Law, the revised Land Law, the socio-economic development programme for ethnic minority areas, and related decrees and circulars.

CISDOMA, along with other units, received commendations from the Central Association.

In the coming period, CISDOMA will continue to enhance its organisational capacity and the quality of its staff; develop new project proposals to secure funding; intensify efforts to seek and expand networking activities, establish cooperative relationships, and actively participate in the activities of networks and policy advocacy alongside other social organisations.
