From February 13th to 15th 2017, The Consultative Institute for Socio-Economic Development of Rural and Mountainous Areas (CISDOMA), in coordination with The center for Rural communities Research & Development (CCRD), organized the workshop on guiding the usage of “The handbook citizens monitoring land use and governance” in Hanoi. The workshop is a part of the project “Citizens monitoring land governance in Vietnam”. The participants include the representatives of the organizations involved in the project implementation and those from the local partners at the project’s pilot areas, i.e. Hoa Binh, Ha Tinh and Can Tho.
During the workshop, the participants are instructed with the methods to use the handbook and provided with the legal information related to citizens monitoring land governance and The Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure (VGGT) by FAO.
After the training, Hoa Binh province Farmers’ Union, Center for Sustainable Community Development (SCODE) and CCRD are going to implement the project model “Citizens monitoring land use and governance” at Son Tho hamlet, Vu Quang district, Ha Tinh province, Yen Bong hamlet, Lac Thuy district, Hoa Binh province, Hung Phu and Hung Thinh wards, Cai Rang district, Can Tho city.
