From January 2016 to December 2018, CISDOMA coordinated with Aide et Action France in Vietnam (AEAV) to implement the project “Improving the Quality of Care and Education for Ethnic Minority and Disadvantaged Children in Vietnam,” funded by the European Council. The project aimed to increase access to quality and relevant education for ethnic minority children by enhancing teaching methods for the teaching staff, increasing parental participation, and providing sufficient information to policymakers. The project was implemented in three communes: Ta Leng, Nung Nang, and Khun Ha in Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province, with a total budget of 531,698.96 EUR.

In its role as a co-implementing unit, CISDOMA was responsible for: (1) Project design; (2) Project implementation and management, including monitoring and evaluation of project activities; (3) Technical support and supervision on pedagogy, school governance, building school gardens/livestock raising, and student parental participation.
