Project Improvement of people’s perception about women’s right on land access and issuance of Land Use Right Certificate with both names of wife and husband for ethnic community in case of Da Bac district, Hoa Binh province” launched

On 02/2/2016, the Consultative Institute for Socio-Economic Development of Rural and Mountainous Areas (CISDOMA) in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Da Bac district organized the launching workshop of the project Improvement of people’s perception about women’s right on land access and issuance of Land Use Right Certificate with both names of wife and husband for ethnic community in case of Da Bac district, Hoa Binh province in Da Bac district (Hoa Binh province). The project was funded by Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) and BMZ through GRET.

The workshop was attended by representatives of project implementers, including CISDOMA, Salung JSC, Center for Support of Social Development Programs (CSDP), Center for Rural Development Assistant (CRDA) and Hoa Binh Farmer Association; representatives of project donors; and direct beneficiaries of the project including district land registry officers and the people of Tu Ly and Hao Ly communes (Da Bac district).

At the workshop, researches on issuance of Land Use Right Certificate (LURC) in Da Bac district and Hoa Binh province, which was conducted by CISDOMA in 2014 and 2015 respectively, were presented. A representative of CISDOMA management board then introduced the project, which is implemented over six months from January to June, 2016. Participants of the workshop joined the discussion about current status of issuance of LURC in Da Bac district. To promote the issuance of LURC with both names of wife and husband in the coming time, they also made recommendations to project donors and implementers to improve the situation and raise awareness of local communities.

At the end of the workshop, Xa Duc Hien, Vice President of the People’s Committee of Da Bac district and representative of project beneficiaries and local partners, thanked the project donors and implementers for their support for Da Bac district. He stated that the People’s Committee of Da Bac district would provide all necessary support to ensure effective implementation of the project at locality.
