From March to September 2016, CISDOMA conducted a consultancy for the Vietnam Partnership for Development (PCD) Program, implemented by the Institute of International Education (IIE) and funded by USAID. This program was carried out to help address one of the fundamental challenges facing Vietnam – promoting growth, innovation, and increased investment combined with enhancing transparency and effective governance, thereby effectively leveraging domestic resources.
To achieve this, the project focused on supporting certain individuals and organizations in strengthening the necessary knowledge, skills, and capacities to become pioneers in Vietnam’s development and innovation process in priority areas for USAID in particular and Vietnam in general, such as inclusive economic growth, private sector cooperation and innovation, HIV/AIDS, climate change and disaster risk reduction, support for people with disabilities and vulnerable groups, influenza pandemics, education, and environmental improvement. Specifically, CISDOMA carried out the following activities:
- Reviewing documents and project strategies of partner organizations;
- Supporting the organization of workshops and consultations with stakeholders to develop strategies for the target organizations;
- Providing input data and recommendations on strategy development for the target organizations;
- Serving as a bridge between domestic and international consultants participating in project implementation.
