From January 2012 to November 2014, CISDOMA was entrusted by World Bank to develop the model of community participation in the planning process for social welfare work. With sponsorship of up to 28,919 US$, the model aimed at strengthening awareness and capacity of the community in planning and spending of public fund for social welfare work at local level. At the same time, its efforts are directed at reducing corruption through enforcing accountability and transparency. Major activities carried out by CISDOMA are as follows:
• Improved awareness and capacity of the community in the planning and spending of public fund for social welfare work at the locality through workshops, ToT training, and IEC materials; and
• Pilotted the model of renovating community halls or public facilities (depending on proposals of targeted communities) using participatory approaches as a way to improve accountability and transparency, reducing corruption.
