Spanning over a period of 12 months, the Justice Initiatives Facilitation Fund-funded project “Building communication capacity for the Women’s Union of Quang Binh district to provide better legal support for ethnic minority women” entailed enhancing capacity of local Women’s Union (including judicial officers at commune level) in legal communication to generate strengthened legal support for ethnic minority women.

In addition, it aimed to improve the position of ethnic minority women via village legal support clubs, and disseminate legal knowledge using the illustrative narration booklet “30 Q&As about Gender Equality Law and Domestic Violence Prevention Law.” The project was carried out from January 2011 to January 2012 in Quang Binh district (Ha Giang province), valued at 10,328 US$.
