The project is funded by Bread for the World (BftW) and Action on Poverty (AOP) in Vietnam. The project has been approved for implementation by the People’s Committee of Lai Chau Province under Decision No. 1644/QD-UBND dated December 13, 2022. The Center for Social and Economic Development Consultancy in Rural and Mountainous Areas (CISDOMA) is collaborating with the People’s Committee of Tam Duong District to implement the project from 2022 to 2025 in 6 communes, including Binh Lu, Khun Ha, Ban Bo, Ho Thau, Giang Ma, and Ban Giang.
The project aims to achieve two objectives: i) Enhancing economic, social, and environmental benefits for ethnic minority households through the implementation of ecological agriculture, community-based tourism, and Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA); ii) The solutions supported by the project are acknowledged by local authorities and integrated into the local socio-economic development plans for scalability.
