The Farmers´ Association Naturland e.V. is one of the world´s foremost organisations in the promotion of organic agriculture and is recognized as a non-profit organisation. The Naturland standards cover areas that are not governed by the EU organic regulation, such as social standards.
The Partnerships Project between Naturland e.V. and the Vietnam Organic Agricultural Association (VOAA) runs from November 1, 2020, until October 31, 2023. The overall objective of the project is to increase the organically farmed area in Vietnam, the quality of food production, and the demand from home and abroad for certified organically produced agricultural products of the country.
Within the framework of this project, CISDOMA collaborates with VOAA and Naturland to implement a survey on the awareness of farmers and traders on organic production, organic standards, and PGS in Vietnam by measuring the general understanding of farmers and traders on what is organic and identifying on the needs and interests of overall value chain actors (focus on farmers and traders) for becoming organic. These inputs help VOAA to establish a strategic plan to achieve the project’s objectives.
